Raw Vegan Breakfast Bowls are an amazing way to start the day! Honestly, I don’t eat enough of them, but after today’s blog post I just might. Lets go over 10 raw vegan breakfast bowl ideas.
After I saw her work I’ll admit I was a bit self-conscious of my own. All of her recipes were bursting with colour and more importantly FLAVOR! My recipes may have lots of flavour, but the colour is something they are lacking in!
I decided to go through her page and pick out 10 raw vegan breakfast bowl ideas. It wasn’t easy to pick considering that @banana_vegan_ has hundreds of raw vegan breakfast bowl recipes to choose from!
1. Night sky
Black is not a colour you see very often in any meal. But man does it look good in this one! The base of this dish is a vegan natural yogurt that is turned black using Raw Rice charcoal powder. Cocoa powder and peanut butter are also mixed in to give a rich chocolate peanut butter flavour.
Toppings on this dish are simple, yet contrast so well with the black yogurt. Strawberries and coconut powder lightly placed on top truly do give this dish a unique look, and taste great with peanut butter and chocolate!
2. Strawberry Island
When I see this dish my mind takes me to a hot beach lying under the palm trees. If you’re a strawberry lover this one is for you.
The pretty pink hue you see comes from strawberry powder and pink pitaya powder mixed into the vegan yogurt.
The sandy beach is made from none other than peanut butter.
3. Summer bowl
Teal is one of those colors that are very seldom in food. In fact, I can’t even think of the last time I ate something that was teal! Either way, it’s a beautiful colour that really catches the eye.
This raw vegan bowl is made with a vegan yogurt base mixed with peanut butter and a touch of green spirulina to give it that beautiful teal colour.
Topping this dish is a handful of hemp seeds, strawberry and my personal favourite; kiwi.
4. Mangos and trail mix
If dried fruited and nuts weren’t so calorie dense I’d literally eat them all day. Throw some cocoa nibs into the mix and I’d be set for life!
This dish has both those amazing foods placed on top of a sweet fruity mango base. Mango coconut spread is what gives this vegan yogurt base its beautiful yellow colour.
5. Night At Sea
When I look at this dish it reminds me of A scene from the little mermaid. The one when Arial and Aric were in the rowboat together as the song ”kiss the girl” was playing. I know that may sound strange but that’s the first thing I thought of!
This dish has a deep blue base of vegan yogurt, peanut butter, RawNice Blue Spirula, butterflies pea powder, and pink Pitaya. Topped beautifully with cocoa nibs and a lemon biscuit.
6. Bar Bar Banana
It’s Banana’s B-A-ana-ana-ana! All jokes aside, bananas are awesome. This dish looks like a healthy dessert you’d make late at night. Jokes on you though because this isn’t desert, this is ma-f*ckin breakfast.
7. Welcome to Hawaii
You’ve just gotten off a 6-hour flight to Honolulu, you’re hungry, one of the greatest at the airport hands you this beautiful creation. Who wouldn’t eat it!?
This funky bright coloured dish is a vanilla vegan yogurt base with green and blue spirulina mixed in. Creatively topped with cocoa nibs, coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds and hemp seeds.
8. Mango Mango
When I took a trip to California I distinctly remember people walking up and down the beach trying to sell mangos by telling “MANGO MANGO”.
This is obviously a far cry from beach mangos. Instead, this is a delicious fresh mango cuddled next to some delicious pumpkin seeds! All of which is sitting on top of a yummy mango peach yogurt with peanut butter.
9. Truffles Anyone?
This dish is for sure one of a kind. When is the last time you saw delegate truffles topping a bowl of creamy vegan yogurt? I know it’s a first for me!
Passion fruit yogurt with peanut butter gives this bowl it’s beautiful light pink tint. While it’s topped with Passionfruit Pistachio granola and 3 sweet vegan truffles!
10. Sweet Summer Day
This bowl caught my eye because of the ruffle cut strawberries on top. To me, this bowl screams summer time. With the light lemon flavour of the biscuits and the sweet coconut flakes, it would be a great breakfast on a hot summer day.
Strawberries, shredded coconut, pumpkin seeds and lemon biscuits top this light blue bowl. The blue tinge comes from Raw Nice Blue Spirulina and butterflies Pea Powder.
