Vegan Double Chocolate Breakfast Oats

Naturally sweetened and vegan-friendly, this isn't your typical sugar filled chocolate breakfast cereal. Made with cocoa powder and cocoa nibs this dish brings a whole new level of intense chocolate flavour to your breakfast (without feeling bad).

  • 1/2 c oats
  • 1 tbs cocoa nibs
  • 1 tbs cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or sweetener of your choice
  • 1 c water


  • Add water, oats, and cocoa nibs to a small saucepan on medium-low heat. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
  • Add the cocoa nibs and maple syrup. Stir well. Serve immediately


If you find your oatmeal to be too dry try adding an additional 1/4 cup of water. You could also add your choice of nut milk at the end.
